This team of executives is ever vigilant in the selection of tendu leaves and tobacco, processing of tobacco, the rolling of beedies and above all in the quality control of the product. As a team they look after the day to day management of the Company.
A separate export division caters to the export market. The division has the additional responsibility of manufacture of special beedies meant for export, their packaging & onward transportation. Transportation is the mainstay of the industry. Tendu leaves are required to be transported from the States of Madhya Pradesh and Orissa,and Tobacco from Nippani in North Karnataka and state of Gujarath to the manufacturing centers spread all over the State of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Again, finished beedies are to be transported to far flung areas of the Country. The transportation and logistical arrangements are taken care of by the fleet of vehicles owned and operated by a sister concern Bharath Logistics. Bharath Logistics has a well knit network operations to the various corners of the country.
Printing is yet another constituent of Beedi industry. Printing of labels, wrappers and cartons is carried out by two well laid out printing presses. Both are sister concerns of Bharath Beedi Works Private Limited. Alaknanda printers Private Limited carries out the printing work from its ultra modern presses at Karkala and Mangalore, and Bharath Printers operate from its sophisticated works at Maroli, Mangalore. These two establishments take care of packaging process of the industry. |
